A regular on this forum, Dell Deaton, just sent me an e-mail. He lost his password so he can't post on the forum at the moment, but he saw your post and asked me to reply with his experience:
The answer to Greg's question about manufacture date is to contact SGUS in Secaucus (877/839-5224). Sometimes it takes a little "schmoozing," depending on the receptionist. But they have *.pdf records at their finger tips on ALL Omega watches sold in the United States. This includes the original date of manufacture information that Omega OEM in Switzerland *REFUSES* to provide. Mind you, if the watch was purchased from overseas at any point, that may be a different story.
But the route I've noted here has worked for me repeatedly, w/ several operators there (altho I have had one or two flat out refuse me, at which point I waited and called back later to try again).
