Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree that the blue dial is very special in the way it catches light and adds depth to the watch. My Omega-to-be will replace a watch that has a steel bezel, and I am definitely looking for a change. It is probably more classy, as you pointed out, and I hope that coloured bezels will not fall out of fashion too soon! Anyway, you helped re-locating the Bond SeMP higher in my shortlist.
In the meantime, thanks to John's information, I have found out 2054.50.00, which could be a strong contender. I had no idea that the black on black came with the Bond strap! Stupid me was still drooling over a 2001 catalog... I think that my aforementioned shortlist is reduced to that watch and the Bond one now. I wonder whether choices are easier to make when one has fewer options or more options...
