: He wore a pretty bland Citizen for a few years.
: Then he got a promotion. He knew what most
: of the guys around & above him wore, so
: he moved onto a "plain" Tag.
: With the next promotion he moved onto a Tag
: Chronograph ( you know the "Link"
: model that Tiger Woods advertised ).
: Recently he had another promotion & has
: moved onto a Rolex GMT II ( Pepsi bezel ).
: I asked him about an Omega..... His reply was
: along the lines of... "No-one wears
: them. If you're aiming for, or are already
: at the top, it HAS to be a Rolex "
: The funny thing is.... he thinks I'm an idiot
: for having so many watches.... & I think
: he's an idiot for letting his job / aims /
: boss decide which watch he should have.

Unfortunately Rolex has this public persception of being the ultimate or the best so I'm not shocked at all by your brother's response.
