As some of you may know, we've had a bit of snow here in Southeast Michigan.
Personally, I just got in from a day that started pretty early, shoveling the white stuff from the drive and walk. Then some energetic sledding w/ Number One Son (age 7, off from school) on a good-sized hill near our home.
Omega SeMPC 2254.50 never left my wrist.
As I've shared w/ many of you here, my personal philosophy is that my Seamaster should be at least as sound as the way it's promoted on the wrist of James Bond in the 007 films. No gadgets (darnit!), but water, snow, some shocking situations....
Seriously, if I can handle it, my Seamaster(s) should be able to handle it. Whatever "it" may be.
So, I'm curious to know how many of you shelved your Omega for the beater you keep handy to take care of what needed to be done today. And I don't mean to suggest there's a right and wrong here; maybe some of you think I'm crazy or reckless.
Regardless, I actually enjoyed my 2254.50 all the more when I'd get up from whatever my boy had dumped me into, brushed the icing snow off of that beautiful face to see the hands unflinching (still talking about the watch here, remember; altho Number One Son appointed himself in great Bond, Jr., form as well).
