Re: 007 Seamaster Limited Edition

: Photos of the watch alone are not enough. What
: you need to see is an authorized dealer
: stamped and dated warranty card, showing the
: model number as 2537.80.00 and the serial
: number. You can verify the serial number's
: authenticity through Omega. If the seller
: claims he "lost" it, this is a
: sign it may be a fake.

: Also, any pictures of the Bond watch coming in
: standard red leather Omega boxes or any
: other box scream "fake". The 007
: LE came in a blue leather box with gray
: interior trim. The 40 Years Of 007 logo can
: be found in blue on the inside top of the
: lid. Also, the white outer box should have a
: small blue 007 logo in the corner. It should
: also come with a certificate of authenticity
: showing the number of your watch out of
: 10,007 pieces produced. I wouldn't waste
: your money on any watch that didn't come
: with EVERYTHING it was supposed to come
: with.

: I owned one of these back in 2002 when they
: were released, so I know exactly what a real
: one looks like. I sold mine on ebay, but now
: I wish I had kept it. The retail price was
: $2195 US back in 2002. All 10,007 pieces
: sold very quickly. To the best of my
: knowledge, all 10,007 pieces were given to
: authorized retailers (not gray market
: dealers), since retailers were easily
: getting full MSRP for them.

Thanks for correcting me on the dealer info. What I actually meant was that the 007 watches were sold quickly, and that no AD probably has them in stock anymore.... But my poor wording gave a different impression. Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to put-down ADs!!!
