In Response To: That is a shame Mathew... ()

People enjoy what I post from time to time, I admit that I can harp on about certain things I am passionate about especially when I feel let down, but I honestly think anyone else in my situation would be the same way unless they had enough money in the bank to justify losing thousands of dollars trying to make up for a mistake.

Two funny things I noticed about Rolex forums were 1. they would say they were open to dissenting opinions but when presented a whole host of people would complain and do whatever it took to try and shoot down your opinion even if it was based on real world observations.

and 2. they abhor long posts that require alot of reading, one of the most recent boards I contributed the main gripe after the content of my posts was how long they were...personally if worded correctly I enjoy reading a nice long post.

I think I am just going to give Rolex forums a break for a while, the issue with selling my sub for a PO or any other Omega is dead, floated it by my wife today and she almost took my head off...she was really upset at the thought as she had given me some money towards it...a local Baily banks and biddle in burlington MA had a Co Axial deville in both chrono and standard formats for 40% off...I told her to would save us money if I did a swap in selling the Rolex for that but she wouldn't hear it, I was rather surprised as she is always about saving/making money.

oh well maybe I will look at picking up an Omega for dress...or eventually down the line a speedy moon for a chrono.

Thanks again all for the kind words and it is good to know there are communities like this that are still welcomming, sorry for heartache I might have caused in the Omega community in the past as well, I didn't realise as much as I do now and being more knowledgable about brands, products and other areas I can honestly say I have done a complete 180...
