: A friend of mine told me that Rolex is better

: Seamaster is more "commercial" .
: Is it the true?
Not at all. If anything, Rolex watches are even MORE mass produced than Omegas. Rolex in the company that pioneered mass production techniques for Swiss watches. Rolex sells several HUNDRED THOUSAND chronometer grade watches every year.
By comparison, Omega is a smaller, more exclusive brand, selling only several tens of thousands of them.
Rolex is the BEST KNOWN premium watch brand. But that does not mean they are the BEST OVERALL in their field. Partially because they are so well known, they command a price well above their competition for a comparable quality watch.
Rolex are good watches -- I've owned one for over 15 years.
But there are many watch companies (such as Patek Phillipe) that make greatly superior horological timepieces. Similarly, there are many other watch companies (like Omega and Ulysse Nardin) that make equally fine watches for much less money -- lacking only the name recognition that Rolex has.
Try learning all you can to learn about the other fine watches that are out there so you can feel confident in spending your money on whatever you ultimately choose!
