AD's are a piece of work

Had an opportunity to visit my local Ad this weekend and noticed a few things. They have a new location in the "happening" side of town. To my amazement, they carry Omegas only at their old location. The new store showcases Rolex, Tag, and Baume & Mercier, with the spotlights on Rolex. When I looked at the Omega selection at the old store, They had primarily quartz watches, even some discontinued models. Of the autos, they had a St moritz Deville Chronograph(Very niiiiiice), one Sempc(was upside down in the display case), one Smp Gmt, and a 35th anniv speedy. They had them in a small, unassuming display. This AD has many advertisements in the local area, but only advertises Tag and Rolex. Its like Omega is the stepchild or something. Is this the predominant treatment that Omega's get when housed under the same roof as Rolex? Why does Omega not feel it necessary to advertise in the US market, and why dont they force ADs to give them the shelf time that they deserve?? This only continues to fuel the fire that there are Rolexs and everything else. Just a vent.

The good news is that my wife spotted a very nice connie mini with diamond bezel. I might have to pick one up for her for her birthday, but not from this AD. Happy Holidays to all.
