Day 32 w/ my 2254.50

Since getting my latest SeMPC a little over a month ago, I've been tracking its precision accuracy against the USNO atomic clock 3x/day. I think it's somewhat misleading to say that any given movement is gains (loses) x-amount per day. In my experience, it depends on the time of day, and, even at that, there is a range.

That said, my averages are between +0.25 and +1.25 seconds per day (day over day), w/ a maximim 24-hour interval gain (just once) of 4.00 seconds, and a maximum loss of 0.50 seconds. Like John's experience, never out of COSC (or Omega, for that matter) specifications.

I did have a used 2531.80 that was right around the 4-year mark (and I believe the movement was actually somewhat older than that). It was losing 14 seconds per day, and I took it to the Dearborn (authorized) Service Center here in my area. His statement to me was the lubricant and internal material breakdown (dirt) mean that 5 years is about all you can go w/out servicing. He also keeps it for 30 days for that complete maintenance.

This is why we have two SeMPCs, right?
