I can only speak from the experience of owning the SMP black/black. For one, it is a beautiful watch for the price. I find myself staring at it often and marveling at the piece of art that it is. On the other hand, I sometimes wish it had a flat black dial(instead of waves-only because the waves give the watch a greyish appearance in the sunlight) and raised applied hour markings. I think this would make it a real gem. The scalloped black bezel is beautiful and really is impressive. This leads to another issue. The planet ocean has the flat black dial and raised markers. I think that if you purchase the blk/blk now, you will find yourself wanting a blk planet ocean and will probably find youself in the same dilema as me, sell it to fund the purchase of the po or just buy the po and use the smp as your beater.
