Unless anyone on this forum knows of a watchmaker in Los Angeles who specializes in servicing vintage watches, I would definitely send it to Omega. This way you can be sure that any appropriate parts that may need to be replaced will be available. Not to mention the fact that they have factory trained technicians to work on your watch.
