I personally think, and a lot of other watch enthusiasts agree that rolexs are somewhat becoming bland. Or in otherwords, played out. It is a great watch altogether, but in terms or practicality, funtion, aesthetics, they are very similar. To me, a rolex is a watch that says a lot about a person. It's an easy why out to say, i know a lot about watches. But the truth is, many rolex owners don't know much about the timepiece. Whereas Omega, or other respective watches can indicate that the person had done some shopping around, research, etc. Everyone things that "Rolex" is the ultimate watch, but as we all honestly know, it is not. Many watches are far more superior. If you have the money for a sub, then go for it. As far as the uniqueness, you'll just be another guy with a rolex. Doesn't do it for me:) I own a yatch master ss and an omega chrono. My chrono is more accurate than the ym. I love them both, but if you see true watch afficionados, or a man with very heavy knowledges on watches, you will almost never see them wearing a rolex. Manywould have owned one, but would end up with something other than a rolex.
