I agree with some (most) of your argument. However, I don't think majority of people buying OMEGA really different from Rolex owners. They see Bond movie, then buy Seamaster Pro or buy Speedy Pro after watching the ad of Moon watch. That's no different from most of the Rolex owners. I don't think it's very fair to criticize Rolex watches because of the poor knowledge of owners. Most of the OMEGA owners are the same too.
