We had a swiss watch show about six weeks ago at a major retailer. Omega's east coast rep was there, she was showing me an AT for my daughter and assured me that anything marked 100m or more was perfectly safe for surfing, swimming, snorkeling and most amateur scuba purposes. Of course that requires periodic maintenance and rinsing the watch after exposure to salt water.
