Actually Sam the new bracelet I bought for it is not the best quality out there. The clasp actually closes the way you state. But for $134.00 I guess it's worth it. It's a little lite and dare I say a tad cheap feeling, but I am so used to modern Omega bracelets I guess I'm spoiled. However, it does look great on the watch and it will be fine in the long run.

Why don't you pull out the old watch and give her some wrist time now and again..

Cheers,

JimC

: Gee, does THAT picture bring back memories!!
: That exact watch was the first Omega I owned
: (college graduation present) in 1974, and I
: wore it for 20 years. I still have it, and
: am considering having it restored. It looks
: like hell, with the dial and hands being
: faded, and the crystal is pitted and
: scratched in many places.

: Thanks for the band info, as my MKII has the
: old hokey tension clap bracelet that isn't
: locking, and just depends on two metal tabs
: to stay bent at the right angle.
