There is always the option to pretend your watch is fake. If your boss has no clue about high quality watches, that would ease your mind and would not stir the rank pullers at your office.
My boss wears a fake Tag from China. I am surrounded by collegues for whom a Swiss Army (quartz, of course) is the top thing to strap on a wrist. I wonder what I will explain if the question comes up... I guess I will tell it is genuine, but the price will still be a very elusive point! Apart from my not liking to brag about that aspect of things, there is no point defending faith to a convert, so it is better not to dig too deep into details. People always remember details, never the big picture!
