: Maybe you've seen some of my efforts on the
: Counterfeit side here, so please know that I
: am very much in favor of protecting our
: brand. I'm curious, however, how many times
: your friend has actually tried this bidding
: approach -- as I would imagine that eBay
: would cut his User Profile pretty quickly
: once notified, regardless of his intent.
: Further, as Profiles are associated w/ eMail
: accounts, if he were to want to have another
: Profile he could use for other, interested
: bidding, eBay, per its policy, might shut
: him out from everything for what he's doing
: ad hoc.

: I have used the eBay policy of "Reporting
: Suspected Fakes" to pretty good
: results. I think when a few of us come down
: and complain to eBay on an item, it's not
: only pulled, but also the Seller is flagged
: for them.

: In any case, thanks for your enthusiasm!
Dell.
'he' has done this on three different omega watch
auctions, with in each case the offending item being pulled from the listings due to 'incorrect listing info'.
at no point did the seller alert ebay to to this which i suspect is due to them not really wanting to draw attention to themselves and their dodgy listings.
as long as you have more than one e-mail address, and more than one bank account or credit card then it is possible.
Dell, i have read with intersest your past efforts with regards to fakes on auction and all i can say is lets keep up the good work and be vigilant. make life difficult for these people
