It means a lot to me to know that others think this is helpful and are encouraging it.
You know, I just changed the bracelet on my 2254.50 to the one I like better from my 2531.80 (the "Bond" watch), and will likely buy that style at some point for permanent use. While researching sources for that, I came across a replacement dial for the 2537.80 (the Limited Edition 007 watch), and actually had a brief fantasy about switching the face on my 2254.50 to that one.
I can't stand the Bond watch hands, which I feel are the antithesis of visibility and anything Bond, himself, or Q-Branch would select "in real life" (yeah, I know how ironic that sounds).
Anyway -- I think what folks do w/ their own watches is up to them and their pocket books. I even sorta like the notion of making something unique. People hand-build absolutely beautiful models of the 1966 Batmobile, and one of those will be coming my way sooner, rather than later. So I'd even say that if someone made a modified Omega and offered it for sale, that would be fine.
IF THEY ADVERTISE IT AS SUCH!
If eBay policy won't let them advertise it, then that's the rule. If someone won't pay top dollar for something they've "doctored," as opposed to what they'd get for the implication that it is authentic, original: That's tough, too!
I hate cheaters.
End of rant. Thanks for listening.
Merry Christmas!
