Thanks for your help guys. I think I either might try to pass it off as a work bonus or tell her that I paid almost nothing for it, you know $500-600 or so and that I could not pass it up. She will never know how much I paid for it because I saved the money without her knowing about it. I will still have to buy her a watch of course. Or, alternatively, I think I might get her a watch for Valentines, then I can spring mine on her shortly thereafter. Good thing its tax season, I might have to do some early returns to save the dough for the Connie she wants.
