Rolex is a manufacture Omega isn't a manufacture
In Response To: Re: Observation of post Xmas ()

There is also the fact that one brand builds all its movements itself and the other doesn't and this since 1984. When you have a manufacture status and when you have calibers that have never known a single problem since their introduction then it is normal that people buy your products.
When Omega was a manufacture things were completely different. Omega was even beating Rolex in terms of quality of movements.
Price of vintage Omegas have tendancy to go up as opposed to models after 1984 non using inhouse movements who see their price reduced of 25% or even more on the second market.
I honestly regret the old days.
