Hi !
And again I need some opinions, after visiting several jewelers today Iīve narrowed my choice to the following 2 models:
1.) SS Seamaster GMT with SS bracelet
2.) SS/white gold Americas Cup with same bracelet
Tried them both on and like them both. I prefer the look of Americas Cup-bezel. Just looks a bit nicer than the GMT, just a slight bit. Furthermore the clasp seems to be slightly more secure. Another plus is the ability of timing events with the bezel, heavily used that on the other diving watches. Didnīt really like the engraving "limited edition" on the side of the watch, but it didnīt bother me either. Donīt care about such limited edition thing in general. Donīt care about the valve either.
The GMT is after rebate (a little bit more percentage on the A.C.) approx. US$ 250 cheaper than the AC. Donīt really need the GMT feature, but it is nice to have that extra hand. Can use the bezel also for timing things, even though I have to calculate a little.
- What would/did you choose and why?
- Would you pay the extra 250 for the bezel (looks/function)?
- Any general advatages / disadvantages for one or the other model I didnīt figure out yet?
- Is the bezel insert of the GMT changeable, so I can choose another style after purchase some day?
Questions, questions, I know, but as so often, I rely on your experience and knowledge...
best regards,
Tibor
