Know anything about this watch?

Thank you very much for your input on the refurbishment issue yesterday. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to track down this watch on line and yesterday found its double (apart from the fact that mine is plated in yellow gold, they are identical)http://www.watchesarefun.com/01_11_03/watch_5.html. The site on which I found this watch does not offer much input beyond commenting that it is an early model. Could anyone provide me with additional information? Am I right in thinking this is from the '50's or '60's? Any defining features I should be aware of? Any additional comments on refurbishment?
Thank yoyu very much for your input.
