I don't think the brand of knife matters

They are all just tools that serve the same function. I'm sure it's fine, it's probably just a shock to see someone taking a knife to your watch for the first time. Having a small gap spot on the snap back is common for opeing the case. I'm not sure about your specific watch though.

I wouldn't worry.
