Did Sean Connery ever wear his watch on a bracelet? I recall the leather strap from Dr. No and the NATO strap in later films. You're going to have a hard time circumventing that love affair: If Mr. Connery did it, that's that as far as many are concerned.

re Your first paragraph, I'll give Omega some latitude in that Pierce Brosnan was an "Ambassador," and, as such, was free to wear whatever (as noted on one of the 007 pages of this website).

But what stands out to me in the case of the current "Watch Selections James Bond" section of the Omega site is that this is the first I've seen of them characterizing something other than the 2531.80 "family" as a Bond watch.
