Correct. The date change mechanism will automatically reset to the original position (the same position it would be in if you manually turned the crown to advance the date by one day - you hear that faint clicking noise each time you advance the date). I'm sure Omega or a competent watchmaker could fix this for you if it really bothers you. I can't say how much it would cost, though.
