I have lots of thoughts re Discussion Forums (and how they relate to sites with more substantive content); competition between forums; possibilities of new Forums for Chronocentric; possibilities for substantive content for Chronocentric; etc.; etc. Unfortunately, I will not have any time to commit these thoughts to writing / posting over the next few days, but I will hope to share some ideas sometime soon.
thanks again to all our readers / writers / lurkers / etc.

first of all, thanks to evertyone for pitching in, and contributing, in so many different ways. this Omega Discussion Forum is really an amazing community . . . my best evidence remains the fact that this Forum did so well, and had so few problems, over the six months when there was no moderator / no access to the "back-end" of the website / no nothing!! just a big, wide open space, with lots of guys participating . . . and isn't that what the internet / watch collecting is all about??
: And, that's how I've always thought of things.
: I looked back, and it may have looked like I
: was making a direct assault on the previous
: comment, but that wasn't my intention. I was
: just sharing my thoughts on the nature of
: the online community.
: I'm always in favor of progress, but sometimes
: it's at the expense of something else.
: Interestingly, one of the appeals of this
: forum is, in fact, its size. It's tight and
: tidy and everyone seems to genuinely enjoy
: one another's company. It has its own
: personality and, in my view, that's the best
: that can be said of any forum.
