Will the 2254.50 go co-axial, too? *LINK*
In Response To: Re: Corrected link ()

Do you mean the 2254.50 (sort of a brother to the 2531.80, w/ black dial and bezel, different hands, markers)? I own this watch as well, per link below.

No, I do not. Nor do I know "why" the 2531.80 is being changed to a co-axial in April. My inquiries had all gone through vis-a-vis James Bond 007 and the new movie, and the Pierce Brosnan chronometer information came back to me in that context.

If the film producers were set on sticking w/ the 2531.80 for Casino Royale, I suppose Omega could have decided just to upgrade that one, in order to ensure their latest and greatest for this promotional opportunity. If, on the other hand, the Bond choice is really between the Planet Ocean and the DeVille, then there would be no reason to "update" the 2531.80 w/out also updating the whole "family" of which it is a part.

Maybe to expand your question, does anyone think that all caliber 1120 escapements will be retired in favor of co-axial? If so, why?
