Will OEM clasp work with other rubber straps?

I have a SMP that I have been wearing on an Oris style rubber strap, with a deployant clasp, that I purchased from West Coast Time.I seem to recall that the Omega factory rubber strap and clasp are purchased seperately.I was wondering how the strap attaches to the deployant clasp? Will the Oris style strap work with the Omega clasp? The Oris bands have holes through them from side to side and attach with a spring bar. This would save me quite a bit of $ since I already have several of the Oris style bands, and I really like them.I would like to be able to just purchase the clasp. Can any of you knowledgeable folks provide any insight? thanks---
