: Hi.
: I live in South America and here prices are
: incredibly high. I’m planning a trip to
: Brussels and it would be an opportunity to
: buy a Seamaster (2535.80). On the Omega page
: there is only one authorized distributor in
: Belgium (Brussels) and I phoned it but it
: doesn’t seem to sell retail (only to stores,
: wholesales?).
: They gave me two stores that sell the watches.
: My question are: 1.- Is the international
: warranty valid if I purchase from one of
: this stores (that don´t figure in the Omega
: page?
: 2.- The warranty card should be filled and
: signed with the name of the store or the
: Belgium distributor that figures on the
: official Omega page?
: I would appreciate any additional advice.
I have found that there are authorized dealers not listed on Omega's website, but when I called Omega USA they confirmed that the dealers were authorized. So, their website is not 100% up to date. I would contact Omega directly at aftersales@omega.ch and ask them for a list of authorized retailers in the area you'll be visiting. That's the best way to be sure BEFORE you buy.
As for the warranty, the warranty card MUST be stamped by an authorized retailer for the factory warranty to be valid. Good luck.
