Caliber 1152 only winds in one direction

Maybe you guys knew this, but I didn't, the watchmaker told me today that caliber 1152 only winds in one direction, I believe the direction is Counter-clockwise. I took the watch in today to have the pendulum-spinning problem looked at, and he told me that I hear it spinning when the watch is not winding, because it's free to move in that direction with nothing stopping it, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
