I have a few questions about the escapement of a watch: when a watch is working at 28800 bph, 8x/sec, are the balance wheel, pallet lever/fork and escape wheel all moving at 8x per second? I thought the balance wheel is rotating back and forth once a second...
when I am right, if its moving at one time per second, how is the movement transferred to a second hand thats moving 8x/second?
Any insights are appreciated!
