Please help - vintage Omega doesn't wind

Really sorry to repost, but my question got quickly lost the first time, and I'd really appreciate some help. I have a problem with a c.1954 ladies Omega (244 movement) that I bought for my wife recently.

When I first bought the watch it could be set and wound without a problem. However sometimes after pushing the crown back in it didn't start ticking immediately.

However, now, after pushing the crown back in the watch cannot be wound.

I'd appreciate any advice as to the possible problem and likely cost/ease of repair. Thanks!
