hi there, it is a difficult choice eh ?
from personal experience, my speedmaster automatic has kept perfect time for 5 years now without it being serviced.i have mine on a black leather strap so it does actually look very similar to the carrera
the carrera is a nice looking watch, but if you have a look into the history of the speedie, it may sway you towards the omega.
i also think that omega is viewed as the more 'upmarket' of the two brands
