: Yes, GMT means Greenwich Mean Time. It’s a
: watch that will display two separate time

: last as long as they are taken care of,
: usually requiring maintenance between 5-10
: years. Cost is about $200 - $250 or so.
: Being mechanical yes, some do just stop
: working sometimes. If you are looking for
: inexpensive, accurate, low maintenance,
: dependable, you should look at getting
: Quartz. If you like the idea of having a

Brett,
my everyday watch for work, sports, activities and holidays is a full size quartz Seamaster pro Bond watch. it is still expensive compared to 'regular' watches, however i dont mind if it gets damaged, and it always keeps perfect time.
for 'special' occasions i wear my Speedmaster automatic. i like the fact it is a pure mechanical timepiece and look after it more and really appreciate the workmanship of it. i value it more than i value my quartz seamaster.
i think this is generally the consensus amongst 'watch people' ....
go for the mechanical option every time, is ultimately you will feel short changed with a quartz watch
