Yes, It's orginal.You have the better version of the caseback.

I received this message back from Omega's vintage department in 2001.

"yes, according to the submitted " scans ", you have the newest and better version of case !

the change was due to the fact that when removing the old case back for maintenance operations, the water-resistance was very difficult to be obtained again... gasket problem !

Therefore the case back is in two parts, i.e. one flat disc and then a strong steel ring, tightening the whole case back and assuring again the whole " water-resistance " expecting for a skin-diver !"

The auto first gen has your caseback
The quartz first gen has the other caseback
