I went to the local AD today to look at some Omegas and they had very few, because they have not restocked since Christmas. I went to look at the Bond GMT, and she quoted me a price of $3395, and with a discount the watch would come to $2716. She told me that this was after the price increase. Now I went to look, just as John has said he does before he purchases the watch from his AD, and I know that John or Keith's ADs could give a better price as this discount was only 20%.
On a side note, while she was finding out the discount, I wandered over to the Rolexes and took a look. They all looked over priced and cheap to me. Is it just a status symbol becasue the brand is so known? In my opinion I would never buy one and the only reason I would ever take one is to sell to purchase some Omegas.
