: Hi Dell
: Omega was always close to Rolex but those are
: not news. Why? Because Omega and Rolex where
: always the two biggest cosc certified
: watches manufacturers and post had and have
: watches that compete very well against each
: other. When Omega lost its manufacture status
: and sticked to Eta movements it wasn't as
: recognized as it used be. You also didn't
: mention than you lose more by reselling an
: omega eta powered watch than by selling a
: vintage one. Rolex always keeps value
: because it is a 100% manufacture and because
: Rolex is Rolex.

......do they use 'outside' companies and subcontract the work to these companies ?
is Omega just an 'empty brand' now, ie just a brand name?
for example, my 2001 speedmaster auto and my 2002 seamaster pro, would these have been made FOR omega rather than BY omega ?
please put my mind at rest !!
