Re: Occasional Wear
In Response To: Re: Occasional Wear ()

Your luxury watch ownership parameters are a lot different than mine. I had an Omega for 20 years, loved it, didn't have money for another one at the time, and lived with a black anodized Pulsar that was kind of like a dark titanium color for 10 years. Now I have the real thing in a Ti SeMP, and I would NEVER think of taking it off for a cheaper watch. In my mind, part of the luxury watch ownership experience is being able to NOT worry about the minor cosmetics of the watch, and I deliberately bought the most bombproof Omega available for that reason.

From MY perspective, which as everybody knows is in deep left field most of the time, it just seems sad that your enjoyment of your Omega watch is limited by the fear of minor scratches or blemishes to the appearance. IF you were independently wealthy and could afford multiple Omegas, would you still feel the same way about minor scratches on one of your Omegas? If the answer to this question is NO, then maybe the limiting factor here isn't your net worth, but rather some self imposed limitations which you could change if you wanted to.
