Brian,
Hopefully the feedback you've received here will help calm any fears you may have about buying from an out-of-state AD. If I didn't know this dealer, trust him, and buy watches from him myself, I certainly wouldn't be giving out referrals telling other people to buy from them. I'm the last guy on earth who would refer you to "John Doe's Gray Market Omegas".
Just to give you an idea how accommodating they are, the one complaint I received regarded a gentleman who received a new Bond SMP with a bezel that was not aligned properly from the factory. It was only off by a fraction of a millimeter, but the person who bought it wanted a "perfect" watch (and rightly so). My AD took it back and shipped him a new watch. They want to keep their customers happy and don't mess around.
Regarding servicing, you'll need to have Omega do this directly or a local Omega factory trained watchmaker. Many dealers do not have such watchmakers on staff, so simply buying a watch from an authorized retailer in no way means that they will also be the ones who will service the watch. This is very rarely the case.
Best of luck to you.
