: I'm a newcomer. Wish to find answers for some
: questions. Thanks ahead.
: 1. Why Rolex can't be found on the Internet
: gray market?
Rolex actually cracks down on gray market dealers while Omega doesn't. Rolex is very concerned that their brand not be available at significant discounts, so even their AD's are not allowed to discount much from MSRP (5-10% maybe). If an AD is found to be supplying watches to gray market sellers, Rolex will pull their AD status in an instant. I think Omega is turning a blind eye to this practice, since they still make money on gray market watches.
: 2. Where is the Omega SMP manufactured if I buy
: it from a US AD? Does Omega have several
: factories around the world or just one in
: Swiss?
Each and every Omega watch is manufactured in Switzerland. It could not have "Swiss Made" on the dial if it were manufactured somewhere else.
: 3. Average Omega production volumes and
: Marketing shares? How about sale volumes at
: different continents?
: 4. Production percentage for lady's watch?
: 5. If Omega makes men's watch more than lady's,
: which brand name at same level makes more
: lady's watch?
: 6. What is the profit margin for Omega's AD?
: What is the profit margin for Rolex's AD?
Omega AD's pay 55% of MSRP for their watches. I have no idea about Rolex.
