John, good question which i am afraid i dont know the answer for... perhaps the US has the same policy as the UK, see how much the good value is listed at on the shipping label and decide if to open it and pursue you for import tax. surely US customs cant check every package right ?
also, arent taxes in the US less than the 17.5% they are in the UK, or does it vary from state to state ?
