I'd like to ask the forus a question. Which is your favourite Omega ? You don't need to own it. You don't even need to be able to afford it. But if you had your choice of ANY Omega which one would it be ?
I used to answer with question with the PloProf, until I got one. The PloProf is a great watch & milestone in watchmaking history, but it is simply too much metal to be used as a daily watch.
My favourite is the 911 flightmaster.
Here are a couple of pics of mine.
As you can see she has had a hard life ( previous owners, not me ) but at a price of under 600 Euros, you can't go wrong.
She's currently at Omega , in Switzerland, getting a full restoration. ( which is costing more than I paid for the watch ! ). I'll post pics when I get her back.
So what do I like about it ? Everything. Size, Weight, design, functions. This is a watch I can wear everyday. I'm not bothered wether I wear jeans or a suit, I wear this watch.
Is there anything I'd change on it ? Yep. I prefer automatic watches & I'd like a date, but hey.... you can't have everything.
So c'mon guys. Let us know what your favourite Omega is.
Steve
