It's ethereal, but in the middle of four corners *PIC*

Just one--?

For me, I think "the" watch is more of a process than any given model. I like looking, researching, going after, holding for a while, and then starting again w/ it. I enjoy that too much to allow myself to be satisifed w/ any single time piece.

For me, however, this means something between 4 watches, always:

1) The watch you do want.
2) The watch you did want.
3) The watch you should want.
4) And the watch you inevitably go back to.

The watch I think I do want is the Planet Ocean 42mm model 2209.50, orange bezel, on bracelet. When I was young, I was far too conservative, worried far too much about fitting in. Today, it stretches me a bit, and my clients (folks going through divorce) will have something soothing to look at when we meet.

The watch I did want was the first Omega Bond, the 2541.80 quartz. Had it, then a used 2531.80, then the new one I now own. I'll never part w/ it, because it was my original target. But it was wrong for Bond and wrong for me.

The watch I should want is whatever the next James Bond 007 watch will be. "Should," meaning that my watch buying is so largely influenced by this affiliation that I know I'll be more inclined to go w/ what some wordrobe hack picked out via product placement deal than what I'm attracted to.

(But, who knows: Some of you helped talk me down from the 2537.80, so there may be hope.)

The watch I inevitably go back to is the Omega Seamaster 2254.50, which I am wearing as type. Still tempted to put it on the Bond bracelet (1503-825). I'm about to wrap up Day #78 of her precision accuracy audit (you know, putting actual numbers to the so-called "settling in period"), so maybe it's just the time I've put in (no pun intended).

It's usually the 2254.50 that I include w/ my Posts, as below. Sort of like that "bad boy" look on the leather biker jacket....

Good question. Good responses.
