I picked up the 8926 Japanese Miyota movement model for about $100 last month. After a month it runs a consistant +20 a day.
The quality is outstanding for this price. I have a Speedmaster and I find the quality to be comparable.
With regard to Invictas being counterfeit, of course they are not. They clearly have their own brand that ranges from $100 to $2,000, and they never claim to be anything else. The design of the 9937 (as seen in the link you included) and the 8926 (which looks almost identical to the 9937) is definitley based on the Rolex Submariner but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Seamaster 2254.50 looks a lot like the Submariner too, and so does the Tag Heuer Aquaracer WAB2010.BA0804, along with a score of other dive watches.
I think Invicta watches, particularly the automatic ones, are some of the best buys out there.
