Why don't you call Omega ?
In Response To: Back from AD... ()

Hi Cosmos,

I hadn't realized that you live in Germany ( me too )

Why don't you call Omega customer service in Switzerland ?

If you use the Call-by-Call number 01071 BEFORE the regular telephone number ( so 01071 00 41 32 343 92 11 ) it shouldn't cost you more than a few cents per minute ( usual rates are around 3 Euro-cents per minute, so an hour is less than 2 Euros ).

I'd wait a few days & then call them. Ask them if they have received your watch & register your concerns with them.

I doubt they'll refund your money but if you approach the situation in the right way, they'll no doubt take "extra" care with your watch. From all reports that I've read/heard your watch will not only be repaired, it will also be brought back to "as new" condition. I have even read a people who have received a "goodies package" from Omega. ( eg T-shirt, baseball cap etc etc )

On the positive side, I have been active on various Omega forums for around 3 years now. I have never read of a break like yours. So the chances that it will happen again are practically zero.

All the Best

Steve
