We once had a customer who purchased a quartz AT with this problem. It did not line up with ANY of the markers on the dial. He said it didn't really bug him, but because he had paid so much for the watch, he thought it a little disappointing. I suggested that he bring it back and we sent it to Omega for adjustment. It came back fine after that. I have seen it happen with numerous other quartz watches across all brands.
This is one reason why I tell customers that, if they can afford the extra dollars, they should go for an auto rather than a quartz.
