You are the second person this week to report their crown falling off. The other was on a Seamaster, and now yours on a Speedy. That is very strange to say the least.
Anyway, since the stem actually broke, you will need to have the part or parts replaced by Omega (depending on whether any other unseen damage was done). I would send it back to Omega directly unless you have an authorized service center near you in Chicago. DO NOT let just any old watchmaker fix it. If your local Omega dealer has an Omega trained watchmaker on staff who can get the parts for you, fine.
However, if the watch is still under warranty, I'd send it back to Omega so they can go over the watch with a fine tooth comb. They'll not only fix the watch, they'll polish it as well so that it will come back to you looking like new. They typicaly do this as a complimentary service on warranty repairs.
