Bond SMP repaired

O.K, everythings good again! About 2 months ago I reported how my SMP was running too fast and also, as it turned out, inconsistently too fast. Several theories were proposed as to why including possible magnitization. Anyhow, I dropped the watch off at my Authorized Omega jeweller where I got the watch and gave them a chart I had made over the course of 3 weeks showing how erratic the timekeeping was. By fast I mean like 45sec+ some days, by erratic I mean 38sec+ other days etc. Anyhow the jeweller sent the watch out to his top repair guy who is puportedly also one of the top 4 or 5 Rolex reparmen in the country. At first he tried adjusting regulator which slowed things down but it still ran inconsistent. Then the watch was overhauled and re-oiled and bingo, no more inconsistency. After that the watch was tested in several different positions I'm told, and regulated, and then pressure tested with the back on and then the watch case and band were restored to like new again. When the watch was new I usually got about 3sec+ and sometimes 2sec+ daily. Now she's running between 1 and 1.5sec+ and I couldn't be happier. My theory as to how it may have gotten out of kilter is that I generally wear the watch every day to work driving a huge material movement tractor where I'm constanly whipping the steering wheel around with my left hand (the watch hand) and that somehow after a year of this constant torque and violence the oils in the watch broke down or were flung off the bearing points. And this may be why the watch wouldn't run smooth or consistent. But I could be wrong. Just to be on the safe side I'm gonna give the watch a break from the extreme hard duty in the future!
