Wow!!! I have never seen a subject approached with this amount of seemingly inexhaustable zeal. I have one nagging question to ask as I have observed many like kind posts on this subject. Does it really matter what watch is worn? Seriously, will your love for the character change if he wore a Timex, or as in the past a Rolex. The Omega connection with James Bond imho will always be the 2531.80, current Bond's choice not withstanding. 10 years from now when the 2531.80 will likely no longer be in production, it will still be known as the "Bond" Seamaster. It is a part of this watches mystique. This watch is one of the best modern Omegas ever produced. Sure the 2531.80 is heavilly marketed, however it also arrived at it's position due to style, comfort, durability, and value. Besides, that is what a companys marketing division is for, is it not? Bottom line is that irregardless of speculation and ultimate selection of the next "Bond" watch, the 2531.80 will as far as Omega's are concerned will always be "the Bond watch"
