First of all, contratualtions on the watch. I have a PO and its a work of art. Yes, its ok to be scared to wear it, but I can promise you will scratch it. Some would call those battle scars, and I think that scratches add character and show that you actually bought the watch to wear it. Rest assured though, since the bracelet is all brushed, some of the scratches can easily be brushed out using a green scotch brite pad. Just dont bang the case on anything and you will be fine. As for the Diver extension, slip your thumbnail under the lip on the back of the clasp and pull the rest of the bracelet down. It should pop out pretty easily.
